“IMPOSSIBLE IS AN OPINION,  NOT A FACT”

Target Audience: Teens and Young Adults

Length: 45-60 Minutes

Cameron enters the stage.  With surfer-boy charm, a megawatt smile and killer sense of humor, he could grab his audience with personality alone.  But what really captures everyone's attention it that this young man is walking confidently on two shiny robotic legs.

As Cameron's story unfolds - how one night's bad decision took him from able-bodied teen to triple amputee - he takes the audience on a journey from tragedy to transcendence, marked with unexpected humor and honesty.

Cameron can relate to teens' and young adults' slew of struggles and choices.  But he also knows how to turn the seemingly impossible into opportunity.  By sharing his story of survival, bravery and determination, Cameron's message proves that even with a series of hard knocks - including the loss of his best friend and twin brother to drug addiction - you still have the power to transform your own life.

Topics covered in IMPOSSIBLE IS AN OPINION include:

  • Rewards of positive choices

  • Consequences of bad decisions

  • Taking responsibility

  • Identifying challenges

  • Defining a vision

  • Importance of setting goals and having a plan

  • Taking action

  • Success factors: hard work & determination

  • Realization of personal strength

  • Importance of a supportive network

  • Redefining "can't" and "impossible"

"I want youth to realize that they have the power within themselves to create their own destiny...that they can accomplish anything!"...Cameron Clapp
